Caltongate to get all-clear
THE sale of council land and buildings at Caltongate is expected to be given the all-clear by the European Commission.
A European legal probe had been launched into claims the city council had flouted laws by agreeing to sell the land and buildings to Mountgrange without them going on the market.
The UK government responded to the European Commission and city leaders have requested a copy of the response.
Council leader Jenny Dawe said: "The council anticipates the European Commission's investigation will be concluded without further action."
