Bypass lorry death probe continues

POLICE were today still investigating the death of a man who was struck by an articulated lorry on the City Bypass.

The 35-year-old was knocked down by the lorry on the westbound carriageway near the Lothianburn junction at around 11.30pm on 
Wednesday.

Police are yet to name the victim as officers continue to conduct a full accident investigation.

The victim was given artificial respiration at the side of the road before an ambulance crew and medics from ERI arrived to assist. But his injuries proved too severe and he was pronounced dead.
