Bus-hit man hospitalised

A MAN has been treated in hospital after being hit by a bus.

Paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident after receiving an emergency call at around 6pm yesterday.

The man, reported to be in his 20s, was hit by a single-decker bus in Comely Bank and sustained injuries to his upper body.

He was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for 
further treatment.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: “A double-crewed paramedic ambulance was able to reach the scene of the accident in Comely Bank very quickly – in around four minutes – and treated the man for injuries to his upper body.

“He was later taken to the Royal Infirmary for further treatment for injuries which were reported to be minor.”
