Boy in hospital after traffic collision
A TEENAGER has been hospitalised after he was involved in a traffic collision this morning on his way to school.
The 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital after the collision in Edinburgh’s Slateford Road, which took place shortly after 7.30am.
Witnesses said the accident happened next to a bus stop, with the victim left lying in the middle of the bus lane.
Paramedics said a rapid response unit and an ambulance attended the scene and rushed the the youngster to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Police said: “The boy is conscious but it would appear that he has sustained leg injuries.”
