Bookstore appeals for help

STAFF at troubled Christian bookstore Wesley Owen are asking customers to sign a petition of support to keep the shop open.

The former Church of Scotland bookshop in Edinburgh's George Street could close with the loss of ten jobs after the company which took it over was put up for sale.

Staff believe a show of support from customers could sway a potential buyer.

An online statement reads: "We have a petition in store, please sign up as your support will make all the difference."
