‘Bonnie and Clyde’ couple in court

A COUPLE who used a handgun to terrorise people in “Bonnie and Clyde” style attacks as they crossed the Meadows in Edinburgh late at night, have appeared in court.

Steven McGregor, 25, and Megan Preston, 24, struck three times within minutes, until a victim managed to prise the weapon from Preston’s hand after she had pistol-whipped him.

McGregor and Preston, of Stoneyhill Road, Musselburgh, admitted attacking 12 people on 29 March at the Meadows public park, and possessing an imitation firearm. They will be sentenced next month.
