Bogus caller stole purse

A BOGUS caller selling clothes stole a purse after following a pensioner into their home.

The suspect called at the OAP’s door in Tait Drive, Penicuik, between 3pm and 5pm on Monday and offered to sell clothes from a holdall.

He is described as Asian or Indian, 5ft-5ft 3ins, slim to medium build, wearing dark clothing and a dark turban. He had a dark coloured shoulder bag, which had lighter coloured piping or edging.
