Body found in tent named as missing travel writer

A KEEN travel writer and photographer with a love for the outdoors was yesterday named as the man whose body may have lain in a tent in a remote Highland glen for at least a month.

The body of Murray King, 51, from Felling, Gateshead, Tyneside, was found on Tuesday in a tent a few yards from the southern shore of Loch Einich in the Cairngorms.

A member of his family said: "Murray was an accomplished writer and photographer and loved nothing more than to write about his travels and the characters he met along the way.

"He loved the outdoors and the mountains and this featured heavily in his writing and photography. He truly was a character who left a positive mark on those he met. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends."

A post-mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of Mr King's death but it is not being treated as suspicious.
