Body found in search for man

THE search for a missing ornithologist ended yesterday when the body of a man was found on the Aberdeenshire coastline.

Euan Wright, 30, a keen hillwalker and bird watcher, had been reported missing from his home address in Dundee since Saturday afternoon.

The search by Tayside Police switched to Aberdeenshire yesterday after his car was found parked near a nature reserve, south of Stonehaven.

A police spokeswoman said yesterday: “Officers … can confirm the body of a man has been
recovered from the coastline at Fowlsheugh nature reserve near Stonehaven at about 2:15pm today.”
