Body found after fire in rural house
A BODY has been found in Aberdeenshire following a fire at a rural property, police confirmed last night.
Grampian Fire and Rescue Service and police have been dealing with the incident at the house in Rhynie, Aberdeenshire, since Friday.
The large blaze was reported around 4:30pm on Friday and was put out within three hours after officers used four appliances to extinguish the blaze.
Police searches of the property continued over the weekend and last night they said a body has been discovered.
No identification of the body has yet been made. Firefighters left the scene on Saturday afternoon after the property was made safe.
The service said a full investigation into the cause of the fire was expected to begin today.
