Bling bus to ferry Hoy

A GOLD-painted “bling bus” will carry Sir Chris Hoy and fellow sports stars through the Capital during Sunday’s Olympic and Paralympic parade.

Tens of thousands of well-wishers are expected to line the route between the City Chambers in the Royal Mile and the Assembly Rooms in George Street.

It was confirmed today that Olympic and US Open champion Andy Murray will miss the Edinburgh parade and today’s event in Glasgow.The tennis star is said to be “exhausted” and has been advised to take a few days off. He does hope to appear in Dunblane.
