Biker aged 66 seriously hurt in crash
A 66-year-old motorcyclist has been left with serious injuries after he was involved in a collision with a red estate car.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at the junction with the city bypass near the Old Craighall Roundabout at 6.30pm on Saturday.
The injured man, who was taken to the ERI, came off his motorbike after it was involved in a collision with a Peugeot estate car at the Old Craighall Roundabout at its junction with the A720.
Both vehicles had entered the northbound A1 off-slip, apparently intending to turn west onto the A720.
No one else was injured and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to contact them.
In particular they would like to hear from the driver of any HGV.
