Big Yin dates at Usher Hall announced
BILLY Connolly is to perform a series of gigs at the revamped Usher Hall.
The Scottish comedian will play at the venue on September 19, 20, 22 and 23. It is a major coup for the Usher Hall, which has undergone a refurbishment that is expected to cost more than 25 million.
Councillor Deidre Brock, the city's culture leader, said: "Billy Connolly is quite simply one of the funniest people in the world and one of Scotland's best loved performers. It's also been some time since he played an Edinburgh gig, so these tickets are bound to sell like the proverbial hotcakes.
"The hall has been undergoing an extensive internal revamp and extension and is shaping up to be a truly world-class venue."
Tickets go on sale on Monday.
