Big push for
education

A CAMPAIGN urging world leaders to ensure every child has access to free education has seen more East Lothian schools sign up than anywhere else in the UK.

Dubbed Education for All’s Send My Friend to School, the campaign aims to hold world politicians to their vow in 2000 to deliver free, primary education for all children by 2015.

It is estimated that some 67 million children across the globe do not have the opportunity to attend primary school.

East Lothian MP Fiona O’Donnell: “It’s an issue I intend to pursue as long as I serve East Lothian, and my next action will be take all of the campaign Go for Gold medals local children have sent me to the Prime Minister.”
