Big finish for fishy dish

A CITY teenager has stepped up to the plate to create a dish inspired by the Olympics.

James Porteous, 15, from Balgreen, won a challenge set by Channings, the townhouse hotel in South Learmonth Gardens, to young would-be chefs. Entrants had to create a dish for three to four people, with no more than five ingredients, to reflect the Olympic rings, and on a budget of £5.

James’s haddock recipe, Podium Finish, will feature on the Channings’ menu for two weeks ahead of London 2012.
