Bank is quids out as Greg empties account

GARY Tank Commander star Greg McHugh has revealed that he is shutting his bank account after his cash was stolen.

The comedian attacked the Bank of Scotland for the second time in a few days, claiming it failed to report the theft of his money to the police.

On Monday the News told how he called the bank last week to report his debit card missing, but was assured that no transactions had taken place since he last used it.

When the Morningside
funnyman checked his balance, however, he saw that £900 had been taken.

He tweeted yesterday: “Very shocked to learn that #Bankofscotland do not even consider the over-the-counter fraud of 900 pounds worth reporting to the police.

A spokeswoman for the bank said: “I’m sorry to hear of our customer’s experience. We treat our customers’ concerns very seriously and we’re disappointed to hear we haven’t met our high standards.”
