Ban for Hibee after cup final day fracas

A HIBERNIAN supporter has been fined and banned from attending football matches for three years following a scuffle with a rival fan after the Scottish Cup final.

Kevin Watt, 23, pushed, struggled with and tried to punch the man after the Hibs v Hearts game at Hampden on 19 May, which Hearts won 5-1.

Watt was drinking in a bar before the incident which happened that evening on Edinburgh’s Easter Road.

He previously admitted a charge which relates to threatening or abusive behaviour. He has now been sentenced for the offence at Edinburgh Sheriff Court. Watt was handed a £500 fine and a three-year football banning order, meaning he is barred from all regulated football matches across the UK.
