Award nominees shattering the glass ceiling
THREE Edinburgh businesswomen have been shortlisted for this year's First Women Award.
The awards, held in association with Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets and supported by the CBI, celebrate the contribution of "glass ceiling" breakers to the UK's economic and social fabric.
Jann Brown, finance director of Edinburgh-based Cairn Energy, is shortlisted for the Finance Award.
Lyndsay Menzies, CEO at Edinburgh-based bigmouthmedia, has been shortlisted for the Retail and Consumer Award. She played a pivotal role in creating Europe's largest digital marketing agency and winning the agency's first blue-chip client.
Edinburgh-born Madeleine Milne, European MD of eMusic, has also been shortlisted for the Retail and Consumer Award.
The First Women Awards, will be announced on 11 June.
