Artist sees the light in festive tree display

The Royal Botanic Garden’s tallest tree is to be illuminated for the festive period by light artist Malcolm Innes.

Standing at nearly 100 feet tall, the poplar tree will be decorated with a mix of uplighting and sparkling lights from Friday, November 16.

The tree will be lit from 1pm to 4pm every day until Sunday, January 6.

Innes, who lives in Dunbar, has seen his work featured across Britain and abroad.
