Apprentice wins award

ASPIRING mechanic Daniel Edwardson has been named Stevenson College’s ‘Apprentice of the Year’ after impressing lecturers and employers with his work.

The 18-year-old student picked up the prize for his work on the Body Repair and Refinishing course in front of friends, family and his current employers at the recent college awards ceremony at The Hub.

The last three years of study have seen Daniel, from Pumpherston in West Lothian, learn the tricks of the trade both inside and outside of the college’s auto workshop after securing an apprenticeship with local bus firm E&M Horsburgh.

Daniel now wants to become a full-time mechanic.
