Appeal over bag snatching

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an 85-year-old woman’s handbag was snatched.

The victim had left the Scotmid store on Leven Street when two men walked past her outside the Skean Dhu pub at noon on Wednesday. They grabbed her bag before making off.

The first suspect is white, 20-30 years old, 5ft 10ins tall with a slim build and short dark hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and jeans. There is no description of the second man.
