Appeal for information on hit-and-run

POLICE have issued another appeal for information after
a man was killed in a
hit-and-run.

Ian Brown, 48, died after the incident in Girvan, South Ayrshire, on 28 July.

Sergeant Jackie Dunbar said: “The public have been incredibly helpful and I would like to thank them for their assistance so far. I am particularly keen on speaking to the driver of a dark ‘old style’ Land Rover which was on the B734 near to Old Dailly at around 10:30pm on Friday, 27 July, and also the driver of a silver/grey saloon seen on the B734 in the early hours of Saturday, 28 July, as I believe they may have witnessed something.

“I would also ask the public if they know someone who has been acting out of character since 28 July. I have no doubt that someone has information which can help Mr Brown’s grieving family.”
