An all-action clean-up day

A “DAY of action” saw rubbish lifted and graffiti cleaned from walls in London Road and Royal Terrace Gardens.

Today’s event – organised by Lothian and Borders Police and the city council – was also due to include the cleaning of bus shelters and the trimming of overgrown bushes and  shrubbery.

Volunteers gathered this morning before they were treated to lunch on the city council. An afternoon clean-up session was also planned.
