Airport hires a high-flyer

A FORMER banking boss has been named as the new chief commercial officer at Edinburgh Airport.

John Watson, who was managing director at Lloyds Banking Group, will oversee the aviation, retail and property teams at the terminal.

He will also be responsible for bringing in new routes and improving customer services.

Mr Watson, a qualified chartered accountant and engineer, said: “I am looking forward to working closely with everyone to create more passenger choice, ensuring Edinburgh Airport is the place where Scotland meets the world.”
