Airport chief promises to be better, faster and do more
A SERIES of pledges have been made by bosses at Edinburgh Airport in a bid to improve passengers’ experiences at the terminal.
Speeding up immigration and security checks, and cutting queues at shops and restaurants are among the commitments.
More than 50 other companies based at the airport – including car rental company Avis and retailer WH Smith – have put their names to the scheme.
Other pledges made by the airport operator include guaranteeing all frontline staff receive customer service training.
The airport was taken over by Global Infrastructure Partners in April last year.
Edinburgh Airport’s chief operating officer, David Wilson, said: “These commitments will allow us to refocus our efforts on setting a standard for outstanding customer service.
“We are confident that 2013 will be the year that Edinburgh Airport reinforces its position as one of the best airports in the world for passenger experience.”
