Adam pipes up for Gathering
THE RED Hot Chili Pipers' youngest recruit, Adam MacDonald, helps launch the Gathering 2009 at Holyrood Palace.
The celebration of Scottish culture will include a Highland Games, dancing, music, craft fairs and whisky tasting in Holyrood Park on 25 and 26 July. Authors Alexander McCall Smith and Diana Gabaldon will join musicians including Dougie MacLean and Capercaillie at the weekend festival.
About 125 clan and family associations will be taking part in the event, which will feature a large genealogy area.
