Aberdeenshire crash man dies in hospital

A 58 year old man who was seriously injured in a head-on crash in Aberdeenshire on Monday night has died in hospital.

The man, who has still to be named, suffered a serious head injury when his Vauxhall Vectra was involved in a collision with a Ford Fiesta on the A90 Peterhead to Fraserburgh road, near the Waterside Inn.

A spokesman for Grampian Police said today: “The man died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Thursday. Next of kin are aware. However, no name will be released until formal identification has taken place.”

The 24 year old male driver of the Fiesta suffered a broken wrist and two passengers in the Fiesta also suffered minor injuries in the accident.
