A 90 year-old driver who died six days after he was involved in a two-car crash in Perthshire has been named as David Campbell of Powmill, Dollar.
Mr Campbell sustained chest injuries as a result of the collision on the A977 at Blairingone on Sunday, 17 February. He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital after the crash and died on Saturday.
The red Ford Ka he was driving collided with a silver Renault Megan. The man and woman in the Megane suffered minor injuries.
A Tayside Police spokesman said: “Mr Campbell’s family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed. They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”
He added: “Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Police would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Police. As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
