£2,250 fine for burning waste

A WOMAN has been fined £2,250 after admitting illegally burning waste at the premises of a skip-hire company.

Wendy Menzies, of Fair Mile Skips, pled guilty at Perth Sheriff Court to two charges relating to Friarton Business Park on 18 and 27 May, 2011. Craig Harris, of the Crown Office, said: “These offences were a gross dereliction of her duties.”
