Hotel is put up for sale as developer collapses
A NEW hotel in the Capital is up for sale after the company that built it collapsed.
The Novotel at Edinburgh Park was only built last year, but EBH Limited – a company set up to take forward the development – has plunged into administration.
It is now being marketed on behalf of administrator KPMG by property firm Jones Lang LaSalle, although it will continue to be a Novotel even after a sale.
Alan Creevy, director with Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels Scotland, said: "The Novotel is essentially a brand-new, purpose-built hotel which opened for trade in early 2008 and provides 170 high-specification guest bedrooms including six executive rooms and two suites.
"This is a fantastic, purpose-built hotel with all the ingredients required by modern and discerning guests.
"The hotel is a four-star operation and we have no doubt there will be very significant interest in the property."
