Foreign buyers home in on city

A PROPERTY firm said it had been inundated with inquiries from foreign investors looking to buy in the city.

One Call Home Assist, the property maintenance firm, said favourable exchange rates and lower house prices had led to more than a dozen enquiries in recent weeks from landlords based in the likes of Europe, Dubai and Australia.

Paul Greaves, managing director of the Edinburgh-based firm, said: "Because of the good exchange rates, they've seen Scotland as a great place to make an investment."
