Edinburgh Hogmanay party scoops national award

THE Capital's Hogmanay celebrations have scooped a national award.

Edinburgh's Hogmanay won the "tribute award" from the National Outdoor Events Association, beating Big in Falkirk and Gardening Scotland to the prize.

Councillor Steve Cardownie, the city's festival and events champion, said:

"We are delighted to have won this award, which is a fantastic tribute to the hard work, passion and creativity of all those involved."
