Darina Allen and Jose Pizzaro to give book talks

TWO authors are to give a special seasonal talk in the Capital next week.

Darina Allen and Jose Pizzaro will both be discussing their latest books at the event being held in Valvona & Crolla on Elm Row.

Allen's new book, Forgotten Skills of Cooking, addresses skills that skipped a generation or two, with tips on everything from how to make your own butter and bread, to foraging, curing and keeping chickens.

Pizarro, who made his name as head chef at the successful London tapas restaurant Brindisa, recently published Seasonal Spanish Food, in which he brings all the vibrancy and flavours of traditional Spanish cooking to life.

The authors will appear at Valvona & Crolla on Friday, 27 November, at 7pm.
