Scottish breweries have won a clutch of UK beer awards.
Loch Lomond Brewery’s Southern Summit won gold in the cask category of the competition, run by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA).
Husband and wife team Euan and Fiona MacEachern, from Loch Lomond Brewery, said they were “overwhelmed” at winning the award.
Loch Lomond’s Southern Summit is a 4 per cent golden coloured ale that won the Best Bitters & Pale Ales category before moving forward and being named supreme champion. Fiona said: “We are absolutely lost for words, you have no idea how much this means to us. This is the pinnacle, after years of growing and growing it’s amazing. We’re totally overwhelmed.”
