Scottish bands of the Noughties: Biffy Clyro triumph in readers' poll
The results are in. Following last week's list of the top ten Scottish bands of the Noughties and the subsequent public vote, Ayrshire rockers Biffy Clyro have emerged as our readers' most popular act of the last decade.

In the end Biffy ran away with the poll, claiming 35% of the votes, with Franz Ferdinand trailing in second with 13% and Frightened Rabbit in third with 10%.
Far from overnight sensations, part of the reason for Biffy's strong fanbase has been their steady rise to the big stage.
The trio released their first three albums to a cult following, and it wasn't until 2007's Puzzle that they achieved mainstream success.
They established this new-found exposure with a series of high profile support slots - including Muse at Wembley Stadium, The Who and the Rolling Stones - before releasing their fifth album Only Revolutions late last year.
Although Franz Ferdinand's first two albums both went platinum in the UK, making them Scotland's most commercially successful band of the decade, it seems that the Franz online fanbase isn't quite as dedicated as that of Biffy.
Frightened Rabbit, who only made their breakthrough in 2007 but are currently riding a wave of acclaim in anticipation of their upcoming third album, manage to edge on to the podium just ahead of Travis and perennial favourites Idlewild.
Mogwai, The Fratellis, Belle & Sebastian, The Twilight Sad and Aereogramme make up the rest of the top ten.
