ScotRail adds new routes to discount pass

A FLEXIPASS offering rail discounts on two additional routes from Edinburgh is set to be launched.

First ScotRail passengers travelling on trains between the Capital and North Berwick or Shotts will soon be able to make savings of up to ten per cent.

Flexipass tickets allow ten separate single journeys on a selected line within a one-month period.

The new offer will be introduced on June 2 when all routes connecting to the city will be covered. The company has also announced the extension of its Flexipass offering to first class passengers journeying between Edinburgh/Glasgow and Falkirk, Polmont or Linlithgow.

Mary Dickson, managing director of First ScotRail, said: "We hope more customers will opt for the benefit of our Flexipass, which is a viable alternative to travelling by car, without the need to commit to a season ticket."
