TWO men have appeared in court charged with committing a robbery at a city centre jeweller.
Lincoln Warmington, 26, and Elliot Jorgensen, 25, appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today in connection with the allegation.
The pair – from the Salford area of Greater Manchester – made no plea or declaration to a charge which stated they allegedly robbed Rox, in George Street, on January 15.
It has been alleged that diamond necklaces, rings and watches were taken during the robbery, which took place during evening rush hour.
Sheriff Donald Corke remanded both Warmington and Jorgensen in custody – they are expected to reappear in court at some point in the next week.
