TWO MEN have been arrested and £100,000 worth of heroin seized in a police raid.
Officers from the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit stopped a car on the outskirts of Dundee yesterday in a planned operation and made the discovery.
Two men, aged 45 and 26, were charged in connection with the find and are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court next week.
Police Scotland said it is the fourth discovery of class A drugs in the area in just over a week. The finds are worth a total of £325,000.
Detective Chief Inspector Colin Gall said: ‘’This highlights our determination to disrupt those serious and organised crime groups whose only intention is to profit on the misery of others.
‘’It also makes it absolutely clear to those criminals that they are not welcome in Tayside. We will do everything in our powers to make our communities inhospitable and hostile places for them to try and peddle their poison.
‘’At the same time, we need the public’s help to provide us with the information that can assist in disrupting the activities of drugs dealers.
“Tell us if drugs are being dealt where you live. The information you have can help us to take action against those very individuals who are hurting our communities.’’
