A 15-YEAR-OLD boy is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in a park.

The teenager was badly injured in the attack, which happened yesterday in the Pollok area of Glasgow.

Police said the victim was in the playpark in Brockburn Road, near Levernside Crescent, when he became involved in an argument with another youth.

The youth stabbed the boy before running off towards the Crookston Castle area.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the city’s Southern General Hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition.

The culprit is described as being white, about 15 to 16 years old and 5ft 5ins.

He is slim, with shoulder-length fair hair and he had stretched earrings in both ears. He was wearing a navy blue hooded top and black trousers.

Detective Constable Lauren Docherty, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: “The park was very busy at 10pm last night and although we have managed to speak to some of the youths within the park at this time, I believe there are many more we still have to speak to.”

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
