Review aims to make primary kids equal

support made available to primary school children in the Capital is to be reviewed.

The aim is to ensure pupils are getting a similar level of support across all schools in the city, and that it meets the needs of all children.

As part of the review,
support initiatives such as Place to Be – which already operates in 10 primary schools – and Creating Confidence may be rolled out to other schools.

A review has already been carried out and changes implemented for secondary schools in the Capital. City education leader Councillor Paul Godzik said: “It makes perfect sense to look at what has worked well to date and assess whether we can roll this out across all our schools.”

A report will be presented to the education, children and families committee next week.
