DETECTIVES in Perth are investigating an alleged sexual attack on a 16-year-old girl in Perth in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The teenage girl was walking on a footpath on the east side of the city’s Dunkeld Road, near the Motor Mile, when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her shortly after midnight.
The area was cordoned off while officers carried out a finger tip search of the scene.
A spokesman for Tayside Division of Police Scotland said: “Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the girl walking in the area. She is described as being about 5ft 5 in height, of slim build, with shoulder length plum coloured hair and was wearing white trainers, black sheen trousers and a green parka style jacket.”
He continued: “Specialist officers are currently speaking to the 16 year old victim in a bid to establish further information. Anyone who has information that may assist officers with their enquiries should get in touch with Police Scotland Tayside Division on 101 or speak to any police officer.”
