Engineers have been dealing with a power cut which left about 1,200 people without electricity.

Problems were reported in Aberdeen at around 10am today.

Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution said there was a fault in the high voltage network.

Engineers went to investigate and had restored power to around 900 customers by 1pm.

The company said it was working to restore electricity to those still affected and apologised for any inconvenience.
