A MAN who died when his car crashed into a railway bridge has been named by police as 25-year-old Mateusz Galdys.

Galdys was in a black Honda Civic which hit the bridge at Causewayhead Road in Stirling at around 12.20am on Sunday.

Mr Galdys was originally from Poland and lived in Stirling.

Police Scotland said the road was closed for around four hours while a collision investigation was carried out.

Officers appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
