A man has died following a disturbance at a seaside caravan park. Emergency services were called to Sandylands caravan park in Saltcoats, North Ayrshire, late last night.

A 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers at Police Scotland are treating the death as suspicious and are following a positive line of inquiry.

A force spokeswoman said: “We received a report at 11.35pm on Thursday of a man injured following an altercation at Sandylands caravan park in Saltcoats.

“Emergency services attended and a 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
