Glasgow anti-racism protesters heavily outnumber Scottish Defence League

ANTI-racist protesters and police heavily outnumbered a small group of far-right protestors in Glasgow yesterday.

The eight members of the Scottish Defence League were surrounded by Strathclyde Police, who had at least ten vans on the scene keeping a large gap between anti-fascist opponents.

The SDL claimed on Twitter they went to Pollokshields to “lay flowers” where 57-year-old William McKeeney was murdered in 2012.

Police said there were no arrests and the protests in the Pollokshields area of the south of the city passed off without incident.
