Scotland’s five most wanted fugitives

These five men are still wanted for serious crimes in Scotland, having evaded arrest by the police.

Police Scotland have stated they are committed to tracing individuals who are evading arrest due to serious crimes.

While Police Scotland’s Fugitive Unit works closely with various partners within law enforcement, both in the UK and worldwide, social media is proving more and more useful in the capture of fugitives at large.

Police Scotland have said: “It is frustrating for the victims, their families and investigating officers when individuals evade capture and avoid facing justice.

“Police Scotland will continue to make every effort to ensure that they are caught and will face the charges against them in court.”

Rezgar Zengana

Rezgar Zengana was convicted of raping a 25 year old female, in Glasgow. He posed as a private hire taxi driver, collected his victim and drove her to an unknown private dwelling where he raped her. Zengana was convicted of rape at the High Court in Glasgow on 6th June 2008, but failed to appear for sentencing on 4th July 2008 and remains at large.

Zengana is of Middle Eastern appearance, and was born in Iraq in 1983 and is approximately 6ft tall.

He is believed to be in the Netherlands or Turkey.

Known aliases: Abdul Qadar, Rusheer Ahmed, Syed Waq and Ali Kermin.

Derek McGraw Ferguson

Ferguson is sought in connection with the murder of Thomas Cameron on 28 June 2007 at the Auchinairn Tavern, Bishopbriggs near Glasgow.

Ferguson was born in Glasgow in 1964. He has green/blue eyes, short balding brown/grey hair and occasionally has a beard.

He is also missing the top of his left ear and has a number tattoos on his left arm: a Heart, an Arrow and a Dagger. Ferguson has been known to use a fake Irish accent, and also goes by the alias William Murdoch Henderson.

He is described as having a stocky build, approximately 50 - 55 years old and 5ft2 in height.

Israr Ali

Ali is wanted in relation to the murder of Waqar Shah, who was killed within his flat on Pollokshaws Road, Shawlands, Glasgow on 1 April 2010. Police Scotland is appealing to the public for any information they have which could help trace him.

Ali is believed to around 40-45 years old, 6ft tall with black hair.

It is thought he could be in either France or Pakistan.

Known aliases: Aslam Ali, Mohd Ali, Zalfkar Ali, Fased Ali, Chaudhery Israr, Mohammad Israr, Israr Mageed, Israr Aslam and M. Ahmed.

Jonathan Kelly

Kelly was released from prison on license in August 2014. Since that time he has failed to comply with his license conditions on numerous occasions leading to his license being revoked on 09/09/2014 and a warrant issued.

Kelly is of average build and was born in Glasgow in 1980. He has several scars including a large scar on both cheeks, a scar on his right hand knuckle and a large scar on his right arm. He is occasionally known to have a beard. Kelly is approximately 5ft8, with short brown hair and light complexion.

Dariusz Eugeniuz Kazmierczak

Sought on a European Arrest Warrant for Fraud, in addition to this he is currently wanted on 12 Fail to Appear Warrants following his arrest in April 2014 in Glasgow.

This was in relation to 12 European Arrest Warrants issued by Poland relating to approximately three hundred and fifty charges of Fraud.

Kazmierczak was born in Tczew, Poland in 1978. He has previously used several false or fraudulent identities and was using the identity of Krysztof Olbrychtowicz, which was supported with fraudulent documents at the time of his arrest in April 2014.

Kazmierczak is approximately 35-40 years old, 5ft8 tall with a stocky build and short brown hair. He has known links in Glasgow and Poland.
