Shuttle delay
THE first space shuttle mission since the Columbia disaster has been postponed by at least six months until next autumn because of continuing repairs to the remaining fleet.
NASA said work required following the accident in February could even push the launch of Atlantis into 2005. The trip to the International Space Station would be a test flight to assess repairs that might be needed to fix the hole which caused Columbia’s downfall.
