Schools' fruit depot open
A DEPOT in Edinburgh to supply fruit for schools and communities was set to be officially opened today.
The Sighthill depot of Total Produce, formerly known as Fyffes, was to be opened by Health Minister Andy Kerr.
"More and more people in Scotland eat the recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables a day," he said.
"The Total Produce depot I am opening today will help get more fresh produce out into the communities that need it most, through its support of community food initiatives and Fruit for Schools schemes."
