Edinburgh business owner Sandy Bloomer will tomorrow fly a 14-year-old girl and her mother to hospital for chemotherapy.
Sandy, owner of Gift Experience Scotland, heard Megan Fletcher would spend hours going back and forth on trains and buses over the course of three days to receive her treatment.
Instead, he’s organised a helicopter to fly her from her Dundee home to Edinburgh.
Because of the recent Forth Road Bridge closure, the usual hour journey by car for Megan and her mum Shona had changed to a taxi, train, then bus - all before 9am - to ensure she made the appointment.
Sandy has arranged for the helicopter, normally used for tour flights, to pick Megan and her mum up on Friday morning, and will then fly them back to Dundee on Thursday, after her chemotherapy.
