Salmond's tram anger
Alex Salmond has spoken of his "fury" over Edinburgh's trams project.
In a radio interview, he compared the trams, which the SNP opposed, with the new Forth road bridge, which his government has given the go-ahead for.
Mr Salmond said: "I really am infuriated by the tram project and the behaviour of the Labour, Liberal and Conservative parties.
"And I just hope people remember and think of the contrast: they wasted 500 million on a tram project that is in jeopardy, let's put it that way, whereas when it came to the Forth crossing, we are going to build it on a fixed-price contract which is going to be 300 million less than the original price."
